PI to MDM

Helo All,

What are the ways to communicte MDM(5.5/7.1) through PI 7.0/Pi7.1?

will MDM have specfic format for read data from PI?

we are about to push data into MDM from ECC...I want to know what formats MDM will understand?

We have an MDM adapter which you can install in PI and can directly communicate with MDM automatically. You can receive and send from MDM to PI automatically. Check this documents:

This integration is typically done by file adapter. You can use xml files in and out of xi and mdm, where you can save time in content conversion. If you want you can read and write fixed length or csv file to xi and mdm in which both systems should be able to load the files.

No specific format is required as long as you have import map ready in MDM to accept the file. Else you need to create a map in mdm import manager to read the file format from pi.

great,.currently we have MDM 7.1 ad PI 7.0 for our interfaces developement, it seems to PI7.0 doesn't have adapter build for connect MDM7.0, but we can do through file adapter...

does any chance to apply some patches/service pack get this MDM adapter on PI7.0?

Hi Shankar,

You have MDM 7.1 and PI 7.0. If you have a service pack of 15 or higher for PI 7.0 then you will have. Please check this prerequisites:

Hi,

For MDM 5.5 ,we can access the repository data from the ready folders of the Repository which is mounted on FTP.

Which can be accessed from File Adapter from PI.

But if you are in MDM 7.1 ,there is an new MDM Adapter in PI7.1 can be used to send and receive data.
