Getting the historical data into new field

Hi All,

I need to add a new field to existing customized data source. A user exit can be written which populates data for Return type (new field) using sales order number (existing field). But this will fetch the data from only go-live forward. Is there any way to get the historical data into this new field???

I think u need to use loopback process as suggested in Dinesh's blog..

Reloading the history data again can only populate the newly added field.
