Could you please tell me what exactly the difference between single code page, and multiple code pages non unicode system?

If i install one more language (other than what are there in system) in single code page system, will it be multiple code page system?

requesting you to please clarify me.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Puma,

please have a look at the attachment 'R3languages.pdf' of SAP note 73606.

Regarding your specific question:

This highly depends on the language you want to install:

If you have for instance a Western European system with EN and German and you would like to add another Western European language, this will be possible in a single code page system.

If you want to add a Non-Western European language in this example - this will be possible only in Unicode systems in SAP ECC 6.0.

Please note that multiple code page (MDMP) systems are not supported anymore as of ecc 5.0.

And even if you have a lower release, SAP strongly recommend to go for Unicode !

For further info, please check SAP note 79991.
