Hi Nidhi,

the messages are persisted in the database as specified in XPI adapter service. so pls adjust properties for Service 'XPI Adapter: XI' according to your requirements (I guess right now retention period is set to 2880000 milis). Relevant for you are : xiadapter.inbound.persistDuration.default and xiadapter.outbound.persistDuration.default settings.

Refer for details to : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/29/22ee41c334c717e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

Some properties can be modified online with the SAP NetWeaver Administrator under Configuration Management ® Infrastructure ® Java System Properties ® Details ® Services (alias: /nwa/sys-config). These properties are indicated accordingly. "

Hi Nidhi,

access http://<host>:<port>/nwa . your port should be like 5<your SID>00.

you need user authorized to change properties in NWA.

http://<host>:<port>/nwa -> Configuration Management -> Infrastructure -> Java System Properties : Overview -> within table Details select tab Services -> type in name "XPI Adapter: XI" -> select persistDuration settings and use button "Modify" to make your changes.

Hi Nidhi,

this depends on reorganization settings configured by basis in your system. Because this messages are deleted from the database OR archived and subsequently deleted. So in case of archiving you can still get archived data if it's not deleted. Ask your basis colleagues about these.

Hi Nidhi,

Please check "xiadapter.inbound.persistDuration.default" Default: 2592000000 milliseconds

The default persist duration is 30 days

Only messages with an expired persist duration can be deleted from the database or archived and subsequently deleted.

It can happen that message throughput in the Adapter Engine is so high that the database volume is not able to store all messages for the predefined period of time (30 days).

In this case, the persist duration value needs to be decreased to a value that allows the messages to be kept in the database for the configured period of time, before the first messages are sent.

Thanks

Ask basis to check the configurations or you don't have access to the same.

password can be an issue.
