Need to maintain material view -unit of measure will be eaches or boxes ?

My warehouse receives material in boxes per example 4 per box. But i will palletize as 12 per pallet. How can my warehouse maintain the stock keeping unit?. Is it going to be eaches or boxes.and what will be unit of measure also..

Hi Jyotiswaran,

You may maintain "Each" or "PC" as base unit of measure and can maintain additional unit of measurement "CS" (case). In additional data tab you can maintain conversion of this two UoM's as 1 CS = 4 PC.

For pallet quantity you can maintain palletization data in "WM view 2" as 3 CS.

Your warehouse can maintain stock keeping unit as PC (each). If you maintain WM unit = CS in WM view 1 you can view warehouse inventory in WM unit CS also. Hope this will help.

This is configurable via WM view 1 of material master data. Check WM unit (MLGN-LVSME) and Proposed UoM frm mat (MLGN_VOMEM).
