Configuring online help

Hi,

I want to configure online help for my SAP GUI. It is Netweaver 7.0. Can anybody provide me any inputs on this?

Can any one  would help to find the SAP help documents download link.

Hi Dilan,

help.sap.com is the central point for any SAP help. Whatever you need, search for it and book mark that. I do it this way. It really helps.

Hi

goto sr13.

click on new entries,

specify the varient, platform, area as IWBHELP, server name as http://help.sap.com,

path ,specify language and save.

OR

1. download help file to Hard disk

2. share the folder

3. goto transaction sr13

4. click on HtmlHelpFile

5: enter variant(any name)

platform>WN32 for windows

area>IWBHELP

path >
<hostname>\<name of the share folder>

lang>EN

Hi

Can you configure your system to first look for the documentation on a server (hard coded) and if it doesnt find a link go to the internet configuration - help.sap.com? How do you set this up?

SR13 - Configuring the default SAP Help files path

Login into SAP system (DEV) with user having auths as sap*/DDIC in client 000 or production client

Client should be Open

Run transaction SR13

Selecte the tab PlainHtmlHttp

Press the button u2018new entriesu2019

Variant: WIN32

Platform: WN32

Area: IWBHELP

server names: help.sap.com

path: saphelp_nw70/helpdata

language:EN

default: put it check marked

save it in a transport

then check saplibrary help:

Menu -> help -> SAP Library

and move to other systems too after confirming the dev

Hi, I too do not have any Library file installed in my SAP Server, because when I click on Help in GUI and then click on SAP Library, it shows No documentation available.

So I had went through your given following steps, but still I am getting the same error

Login into SAP system (DEV) with user having auths as sap*/DDIC in client 000 or production client

Client should be Open

Run transaction SR13

PlainHtmlHttp TAB selected

Clicked on "New Entries"

Variant: SAP_HELP

Platform: WINDOWS NT (My OS is windows2k8 64bit)

Area: IWBHELP

server names: http://help.sap.com

path:
(Mymachine)\saphelp_nw70\helpdata

language:EN

default: put it check marked

Clicked on Save button

then ceated new request called SAP_Help

Then clicked on Save button

Then clicked on back button

and then Clicked on Help -> SAP Library

But still is says No Documentation Available

Please guide. I would appreciate your help

I´m trying follow this steps but when clicked on Help->SAP Library received the error message:

' Can´t find "serverhostname\share\EN\e18e5134\1a06084d\e100000000\9b38f83b\frameset.chm"

PS: i did unzip media 50107487 and copy subdir HTLMHELP\EN to <server>\<share> and followed steps (SR13, add new entries. etc)

you need to go in SR13 and givethe entry under the tab PlainHTMLHTTP

saphelp WN32 IWBHELP http://help.sap.com <location where the help is kept> EN check the default box also.
