ERM: Error synchronizing role usage job for connector SRM

Hello,

I've run the Role Usage Synchronization job in ERM for our SRM system. When I look at the job history via the Background Jobs node, I see the line item messages as listed here:

1. Job created

2. Job Running

3. Role usage synchronzation for connector SRM is started

4. Information for 251 users retrieved from connector SRM

5. Error synchronizing role usage job for connector SRM

6. Role usage synchronization for connectorSRM is complete

7. Job completed

We are on GRC SP 5. Any ideas on how to resolve the Error synchronizing role usage job for connector SRM?

Maggie,

To resolve this, we will have to look at the logs. There were some intermittent issues with this job before SP6. Upgrade to latest Support Pack (I think it's SP8 and SP9 may be releasing soon) and run the job again.

Thanks, Alpesh. Do I need OS level access to look at the logs or can I view them somehow through the ERM Java screens?

Upgrading will take a while and so I'd like to fix the issue, if possible.

You can look at logs from configuration -> log history -> system logs.

As I said, this issue might not be fixable. Have a look at OSS # 1321311 and 1258452. Also, open a customer message with SAP.
