SOLMAN_SETUP not working

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hello,

We installed a IDES Sol Man and I am trying to run tcode SOLMAN_SETUP as per the sol man post config guide.

When I run Solman_setup the web page ( Webdynpro - i guess) opens up and errors out... Can u please help me to put the right handler for this servie ?

Below is the path that comes up in Internet Explorer when I run Solman_setup.

http://hostname.xxx.local:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sise_main_app?sap-client=001

1. when i try to go to SICF and right click to test "default_host" (top most node) it errors up as below.

Could not find host or port information

Message no. SHTTP082

Diagnosis

The system could not find any host or port information.

Possible causes are:

The Internet Communication Manager is not active. Use transaction SMICM to check whether the Internet Comunication Manager is active.

The Customizing settings for the host and port assignment are incorrect. Use transactions SMICM and RZ11 to check whether the system settings are correct.

I HAVE CHECKED THE SETTINGS SEEMS TO BE CORRECT.

2. Also when I go to /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ and right click to test WD_SISE_MAIN_APP under it , the error comes up as :

Service Cannot Be Accessed !

Message no. SHTTP009

Diagnosis

You have not entered a handler, and the other services in the URL also do not have a handler. This means the service cannot be accessed by HTTP request.

Procedure

Check whether this is intentional, and if necessary, enter a handler"

I DONT KNOW WHAT HANDLER TO USE FOR THIS SERVICE (/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/WD_SISE_MAIN_APP )

Though, if you could let me know what handler has been used in your system it would be great... I feel thats the main problem here.....( p.s. I am not a basis expert.)

I am getting the same error.. could you please tell how did you solve it?

Hi, Girish,

I saw this sometime back, and I'm trying to remember the cause. Have you verified that the following profile parameters are set?

a. icm/host_name_full = <fully.qualified.hostname>

b. icm/keep_alive_timeout = 600 (note 824554)

c. login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

d. login/create_sso2_ticket = 2

e. ict/exclude_compression =.zip,.cs,.rar,.arj,.z,.gz,.tar,.lzh, .cab,.hqx,.ace,.jar,.ear,.war,.css,.pdf,.js,.g, *.pdf, *.ppd, *.pddx

Also, check strust and sso2 for single sign on.

=============================

Here is what the IMG Activity says:

=============================

Maintain Profile Parameters

Use

You create profile parameters in the instance profiles per application server for:

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Business Server Pages (BSP)

Timeout for ICF Services

Requirements

You have set up SSO, see also:

SAP Note 817529: Checking the SSO Configuration

Installation Guide and Security Guide for SAP Solution Manager

You have imported the respective instance profiles. Proceed as follows:

1. Choose the respective instance profile.

2. Choose Import.

Activities

Create the following profile parameters in the instance profile:

login/create_sso2_ticket = 2

login/accept_sso2_ticket = 1

icm/host_name_full = fully qualified server name

This parameter must be attributed to the fully qualified server name (for example, wdfd002568.wdf.sap). The name must contain at least two periods. See also SAP Note 434918.

icm/server_port_1 = PROT=SMTP,PORT= <> 0 for example, 25000

login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0

icm/conn_timeout for example, 20000

icm/keep_alive_timeout for example, 240

icm/server_port_< n >

You can set the ICM parameters for timeout permanently as profile parameters or via the transaction SMICM (Edit -> Service). Note here: These changes are lost when you restart the ICM. See also SAP Note 824554 (ICM and SAP Web Dispatcher Timeout Parameter)

SAPLOCALHOSTFULL = fully qualified server name

For the parameters to be used by the system, the system must be restarted.

These are from some of my documentation as steps prior to running Solman_setup.

Hope it helps.

Phillip
