Hello,
I am aware that Import and syndication are done automatically by defining Ports.
But ports once created they are executed 365 days..
Can we control them, Like can we set a time & date when it should execute?
can we include ports in mdm work flow and execute the port whenever a record is inserted(workflow option) ??
Kind Regards
Eva
Hi,
Ports are just the place holders for the files, it's the job of Import and Syndication server to take and put data from these ports. However you can define the processing interval for Outbound port whether you want to syndicate data on daily, hourly or weekly basis and in case of Inbound port you can specify the parameter File Aggregation Count (The number of import files to aggregate for batch processing).
Yes, you can include outbound port in Workflow. For this, create the outbound port, assign the map and set the processing interval to manual. Place the Syndicate step in workflow and assign this newly created port. Put on your Syndication server, now whenever your workflow gets triggered, Syndication server will syndicate data out from MDM when the workflow reaches to Syndicate step.
