Dear Experts,
We have a T-lane setup from the source location A to destination B for a particular material. However, when running SNP Network heuristic, it generated SNP Purchase Requisition with out a source of supply. Can you please help me understand what would caused this?
Thank you so much for your input.
Tom.
Hi Tom,
Maintain product specific transportation lane.( Assuming you are manufacturing in one location or else use PDS priority)
Execute the low level code.
Run Network Heuristics to get your expected result.

Not sure if all knows - but just to document in this thread ....
SNP Heuristic DOES NOT consider Transportation Lanes based on Contracts but only based on Purchasing Inforecord.
We had an issue where PPDS Heuristic Run is picking the source of supply (T Lane) but SNP Heursitic run is not (creating Distribution Receipt without source of supply). On debugging it was found that in FM /SAPAPO/SOS_VALIDITY_CHECK various checks are done on the Source of Supply one being if the TLane is based ona contract TDSRC field value 2 then the source is removed from the source of supply table.
Refer SAP Note 993283 - Restrictions for external procurement based on contracts

Hi,
check the following,
1. If means of transport has been assigned to the T-Lane with correct validity date.
2. Check if the P.Req is getting blocked in the CIF queue? If yes, whats the error message?

Hi Tom,
Did you define 'low level code' ?
Thanks,

Hi Satyajit,
My situation is we have two T-Lanes:
Tlane 1 - Source A Destination B
T lane 2 - Source B Destination A
I believe that in Network heuristic system does not allow any recursive T lane as it fails to determine low level code resulting no propagation of demand to next level. This resulted in no source of supply.
Can you please confirm if that is the limit of Network Heuristic? Our business scenario required to have recursive Tlane, is there a way to get Network Heuristic to work correct? How to setup low level code?
Thanks for all your help.
Tom
Hi Tom,
In this case you will never get desire result. If you run location heuristic for both location, then also you might get supply w/o source, (put some demand for both the location and take a location heuristic run for both of them).
In the past We had similar situation, (for very few case) but we use to do correction manually for those.
But if your scenarion is like: Location 'B' procure goods from location 'A' for product, say 'P' and location 'A' procure some other goods from location 'B', then you can block the T-lane from 'B to A' for that particular (P) product/Products. Then you will be able to get desire result.
Or if you have to open it then do correct manually,.... otherwise may God help you.
Thanks,
Satyajit
Hi,
Please check the lot size, validity dates, block indicator, Agg Planning Ind in Means of transport. Also check if the product is maintained at both the locations.

Hi Santhil,
Thanks so much for your quick response,
Destination location Lot Size: Fixed Lot Size
Block Indicator: Available
Valididty dates 12/31/2020
Agg Planning Ind is checked
The product is maintained at both locations. The source location procurement type is By Period (Day, number of periods 14)
The strange thing is that when I run location heuristic, it shows up with the source of supply but when I run Network Heuristic the source of supply is blank.
Appreciate any feedback to help resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Tom
