settlement from one WBSe to another WBSe

We are able to settle from AUC to a cost center. Should we be able to settle from a capital WBSe that has already settled to an AUC?

SAP does not seem to recognize the WBSe as a valid receiver when settling from the AUC. We have set the WBSe as a valid receiver in the settlement profile. Are there other settings that enable this settlement?

Please, check the allocation structure. In fact the error message should guide you for the resolution. When are you getting the error message and what does it says exactly?

We get error KI235 "Account xxxxxx requires an assignment to a CO object" when using cj88 to settle.

So, does it mean you have successfully maintained the settlement rule to WBS-element?

If I am not mistaken your previous post was exactly the same with the only difference to Cost Center. And your resolution was about checking field status group for that account to allow Cost Center. So, can be the same thing for WBS-element.

In the previous problem when we could not post to cost center in settlement, we found that field status group had been changed in development. We changed it back to match production and that resolved that issue. Now we are trying to settle from wbs to wbs but we get the KI235 error even though WBS element is set to Opt. entry in the status group for our account.

Account assignment objects in Controlling are orders, cost centers, projects, cost objects, networks, special make-to-order sales orders, and profitability segments.I assume that the error is for account XXXXXXX. One way would be to create a cost element for the account XXXXX in FS00.Ensure that you assign a profit center or cost center for the cost element that you are creating.

Also check the account assignment for XXXXX in the transaction OKB9.

If you still get this error after maintaining above, try and repost as the changes that you made might not be affecting the current postings.
