Hi Jana,

Are you able to ping the application server from where the machine you are trying to login ?

If yes, then make sure that you have maintained the system number correctly.

it looks like your SAP server is down. have you checked this?

are you able to connect to your server with another PC?

Problem can be

1. SAP system is down. Let us know if other persons are able to connect to the above mentioned SAP server.

2. Your GUI installation has some problem. Check the entries of "Services" file in path Drive:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

You should have an entry sapdpXX 32XX/tcp where XX=your instance number.

and sapgwXX 33XX/tcp where XX=your instance number.

Hi Seniors,

Another person is using that server. So the server is up only. I have chekced "Services" file in path Drive:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc ..it is there as you said. what is instance number? it is there from

sapdp00 3200/tcp to sapdp99 3299/tcp

sapgw00 3300/tcp to sapgw99 3399/tcp

Where the problem might be ? Kindly help me please.

Jana

try this

go to command prompt

telnet IP address of server 3200

If blank screen is coming then you will be able to connect to server, if not then there must be some firewall or antivirus which block the connection.

Ok..That means your service file entries are fine.

Do you have any anti-virus with firewall which is blocking some port? Try to disable anti-virus and then restart PC/Laptop.

Try login once again..

If nothing works, you can try to reinstall SAP GUI.
