Upgrade to SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1

Hi All,

We are planning to upgrade our existing SAP Solution Manager 7.0

(Support pack level 14) to SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1.

Can you please guide us with the steps.

Is it same to apply support stack 18 and 19 to get Solution Manager 7.0

Hi Venu

I would suggest you to upgrade you SP stack till 17 and then go with EHP1 SP20

Dear Gurus

We also have the same plan to upgrade solution manager 7.0 to EHP1.

But here in my scenario it is asking me for the kernel 701

"OCS package SAPK-701DHINSAPBASIS requires at least

Kernel Release 701 with patch number 0000"

Can anyone tell us do we have to upgrade our kernel release as well?

If this is the case then how to proceed.

Dear Mohamed,

You can downgrade your kernel from 69 to 55, or you can download from service market place the 254 version and apply it, first of all, you need to have a backup of your kernel, don't forget it.

Hi,

You can use optimizer to download the required support packages and Addons for the upgrade the solution manager 7.0 to solman 7.0 ehp1.

You can use JSPM for upgrade the ASJAVA

SAINT transaction to for ASABAP.

Similary you can use JSPM for Kernel patching also before doing this take the backup of the kernel instead of doing the kernel paching manual.

You can do ASABAP or ASJAVA upgration

Note: Before starting the upgrade you check the the system having all the support package levels.

Hi Venu,

yes, its the same procedure as the support pack stack upgrade but please refer to the Installation guides. Solution manager 7.0 with SPS18 is same as solman 7.0 EHP1.
