I faced this problem because my database instance is not running.  When I start the DB instance, the problem remains.

The problem is solved until I retart the whole SAP system.

Hi Chris / Dalma,

The issue is with the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\services entries.

Do add your samps<SID> port/TCP entris.

also the all relevant  entries.

sapdp00  3200/tcp

This should resolve the issue.

also Do verify your instance number and maintain the right Instance number in SAP GUI. Let us know if this helps.

Ram

I understand that sapdb00 is related to port 3200.

I have turned the firewall off and I don't have any anti-virus or spyware on the server.

No, this suggestion did not work. The sapdb00 is related to port 3200 and that port is not listening.

The sapdb00 is related to port 3200 and that port is not listening.

This error looks like related with the network. Check your firewall rules and why port 3200 is not listning. You may use netstat -an for further analysis.

Hi ,

Check if your SAP is running .In next step check if you are in same network where your SAP system running currently. If yes then first try to access this server in from your desktop start->run & give the command sapgui <your IP> instance no.

If you are able to get login page by this then you have to check the parameters in GUI which you are providing.Hope this will answer your question.

Thanks..

Mohit
