MDM layout server connection error

hi,

I am in MDM 5.5 Sp05 and when i try to connect to my layout server its not getting connected its showing my windows server but its not getting connected. I have installed SP06 layout server in my server. Any thing I am missing on this?

Hi

U'll have to install layout server for SP05 version on your m/c. Same is true for Import/Syndication servers also.

I have contacted SAP OSS and they gave me the correct installation file (same version) then it worked fine. Thanks for your suggestions.

MDM Server and Layout Server should be exactly of same version

Can you please elaborate what a Layout server means ? And its significance in MDM ?

Hi Vinay,

MDM Layout Server is used when you work on MDM Print Publishing. You cannot even open MDM Publisher without statring and connecting MDM Layout server.
