Hi Barry,

you're right. SAP is coming up with a new tool called SAP Promotion Management for Retail. Basically, the tool provides a solution for the planning of promotions including the creation of a flyer.

SAP Promotion Management is a separate solution with interfaces to SAP ERP to get Master Data from the ERP System and to create promotions after the promotion planning is finished. If I remember correctly, the interfaces are provides with EHP4.

Please have a look at ...

... this SAP Webcast: http://www.sap.com/community/events/2009_06_17_EPM/index.epx

... this factsheet: http://download.sap.com/industries/retail/midsize/downloads/download.epd?context=A788E4F40C85F9BEEF3...

Also, there is a german documentation, unfortunately, I didn't find the english one... sorry, for this: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_pmr70/helpdata/de/82/FC25B90C244E47878B3EA0BE970F88/frameset.htm

Maybe someone from the SAP people here can provide you some addtitional information.

Regards,

Tobias

Hi,

Thanks, the information on wiki was quite useful.

The wiki says that the product is currently in ramp-up, can you let me know when is the product expected to be released to market.

Barry,

PMR is available for purchase now. All new products are placed into a ramp up status upon first release which only means that new customers of the solution are placed into ramp up status which gets special tracking and attention.

Hope this helps,

Denise
