Hi Experts,
i was trying to perform an automatic import using MDIS.
I guess i am missing something like..
When i define a port i mentioned the map name, file type and automatic execution.
its a excel file.
i have a situation where i need to configure 2 ports..
Port 1
RS1
Excel - Customer_150546_xy.xls
Map - Map1
xy-> there will be a sequential_ number here.
port 2
RS2
excel - Vendor_450436_xy.xls
Map - Map2
when i define 2 ports in my console.
My excel files are placed in ready folder(both vendor and customer).
Now , port1 searches for an excel in ready folder and port2 also does the same.
how does MDM understand that
port1->excel->Customer_150546_xy.xls->_Map1_ ??
port2->excel->Vendor_450436_xy.xls->_Map2_ ??
should we need to mention the above relationship in any file??
did i miss something else??
Kind Regards
Eva
Hi Eva
For each remote system and port defined in MDM we have separate folders created by default under different paths.
So for Port1 which is part of remote system RS1 the Ready folder path will be Server/Inbound/RS1/Port1/Ready which is different from the folder path for port2.
Also the maps are assigned to the ports themselves when they are deined in console. So port1 is assigned map1 for customer and port2 is assigned to map2 for vendor.
Hope this answers your query.
best regards
Ravi

Hi Eva,
I hope you are not working on MDM 7.1, as Automatic import of Excel is not supported in it.
Thanks & Regards,
Priti
