Create a BW connection with Single Sign On

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a BW cube connection with Single Sign On in Designer, but I have this error:

"DBD: Unable to connect to SAP BW server Incomplete logon data"

I correctly managed the SAP auth. within CMC, I'm using BO XI 3.1.

I read some posts concerning this issue, I understood that I have to install FP 1.2 for both BO system and SAP int. KIT.

Is it correct? Have I to istall the FP 1.2 either for server and client?

Hi Giorgia,

You need first to create a Designer connection using a valid SAP user/password.

Then you can enable this connection as SSO.

You need, of course, to manage the SAP auth. within CMC.

Hi Didier,

I first created a Connection to a BW cube with a valid SAP user within Designer (it works), then I tried to change this connection to a SSO but it doesn't work.

What I have to do? I don't understand....

If I understand well I can't create a NEW connection with SSO? it's true?

Hi,

you need to have the SAP authentication configured and you need to logon with SAP credentials to the Universe Designer.

Hi ingo,

I have configured SAP authentication and i logon with SAP credentials to the Universe Designer but still its showing me same error.

can u tell me where i am wrong.

Hi,

it is recommended that both your BOBJ server and the client tools (Designer) have the same patch level. I would suggest to upgrade both installations to FP 1.2.
