Multiple mdis/ cross server mdis functionality

Hi Team,

I have the below 2 queries:

1. Can we have more than 1 mdis.ini for a particular server?

2. Say I have 2 servers.. Server A and Server B. Is it possible to use the mdis.ini of Server A, to load data in a Repository present in Server B. If yes, how?

Please suggest.

Hi Priti,

1. No we cannot have more than one MDIS.ini for one Import Server

2. It's slightly confusing. However you can use one Import Server to work with more than one MDM Server but not at the same time i.e. you can point your MDIS to MDM Server A and now if you want your MDIS to work with MDM Server B, this can be done by changing the parameter Server = <MDM Server> in mdis.ini provided all the servers are of same version

Hi Priti,

I think this is not possible . For using auto import ,we have to use the same MDIS.INI folder of the particular server.
