Product Master fields maintained directly in APO (not via CIF)

Dear experts,

Is there any easy way to know which fields in the product master are directly maintained in APO versus the fields populated by ECC material master via the CIF?

to my knowledge the following ones are maintained directly in APO but I do not have the exhaustive list:

Safety Day's supply

SNP Supply profile

SNP stock transfer horizon

Demand profile

Push deploy horizon

Pull deploy horizon

Period Split

SNP Planner

Demand Planner

Safety stock method

Lot/DaySS

SNP demand profile

Push distribution

Fair shair rule

Depl. Prfl

Checking Horizon

Target Day's Supply

Please could you help me find the complete list of fields?

Hi Ester,

You need to maintain ATD issues and ATD receipt category SNP production horizon and PPDS planning time fencce if required,

Costs at Procurement tab if you are running optimization engine.

Hello Experts,

I'm trying to use Time-based Safety Stock Method in APO (MF), but every maintanance in product master data in ECC changes the method to SZ.

Do you have any suggestion how to solve this issue? Any special field, user-exit, etc.

Hi Experts,

Could you pleas etell me how the field Safety stock method populated in APO.

I dont think this values comes from R3, or am i missing some settings in R3 from which it gets derived.

If not from r3 , do we maintain it APO for everymaterial location manually/MASSD .

Looking forward to your inputs on this.

Hi Anand,

SB and SZ are automatically populated in APO if safety stock or safety time respectively maintained in R/3. However all ohter safety stock strategies need to be manully populated in APO.

Hi Esterleen,

APO has flexibility to create and maintain majority(99%) of the APO

material master fields directly in APO and not depend on R/3

Whereas, APO has got additional functionality to extract

fields from R/3 to reduce maintaining efforts. Some of the fields that

can be transferred from R/3 are General data, shelf life data, UoM,

packaging details, storage details, ATP check mode details, strategy,

lotsize, safety stock, procurement, GR/GI etc.,

Hi Ester,

Some of these fields mentioned can be derived from R3 material master. e.g. Safety Stocks, Checking Horizon, Lot sizes etc.

For other fields, which are only APO specific, like SNP Horizons, PPDS Horizons, Deployments, there are no direct connection with R3.

In such cases you need to use CIF user exits either on R3 side or APO side depending on your requirement. This is standard development in almost all implementations.

As a rule, you can say that fields not appearing on MRP views are to be maintained directly in APO.

Incidently Safety day's supply is maintained in R/3 as "Safety Time".
