EHP4 Upgrade

Hi Friends,

We are doing the ehp4 upgrades, while doing this upgrades I am facing the problem with temporary space problem of how much to allocate to the shadpw system, but in one of the s-note says that for the shadow instance the memory parameters will be tuned or memory will be allocated itself.

Kindly suggest me that what minimum and maximum temporary space is required and moreover is it based on any calculation of the physical system memory.

We use to get the dumps related to paramaters like,

ztta/roll_area, heap, dia and nondia paramaters.

Hi Srinivas,

I was facing a similar problem during the EHP4 upgrade..

We just had 4 Gb RAM, howevr; after setting a huge amount of virtual memory (around 32 GB) the upgrade went through without a hitch.

I assume you're on a 64 bit hardware..
