Hi,

Body page and Master page in Adobe form can be co related to Master and Normal slides in Microsoft powerpoint.

A body page is the area where you keep all your dynamic fields normally which you want to be available on one place in the layout. For example: some Tables, Name, Address, Submit button etc.

A Master page is the area, where you place those fields, which you want to to be available on each subsequent pages. Like: Header & Footer, company logo etc. You also place content area on Master page only. A content area is a place holder which defines the space available on all body pages.

It entirely depends upon the developer to decide which field he/she wants to put on body or master page. But thumb rule is: Fields which is required to be repetative on every pages should be kept on Master page. All dynamic and such fields which should be available on just one place should be kept on Body page.

There can be multiple Master page as well, and you can switch between multiple Master pages depending upon your condition.

For further details: Try creating your own form in SFP with Body and Master pages and try putting few fields on both the pages according to your requirement. You will see all contents on Master page automatically gets reflected on the Body page as well. I am sure once you create a simple form with Master and Body page, things will be become more clear.

Also, you can look for HELP in ADLC for more information.

Deepika,

Have a look at the Help section in your Adobe LiveCycle Designer for more information regarding this.
