Hi Friends,
I am in the next step to downtime, I am doing the following before proceding to the downtime.
1. Our is development system, i have stopped the delopment system and also stopped the batch jobs and users have logged out.
2. In the Isolate the central instance. I am stopping the application servers, and back up the
directory usr/sap/<SAPSID> including the complete upgrade directory. and also a
backup of the home directory of user <sapsid>adm.
3. Backup the complete installation directory now (including subdirectory "sdt"). Caution: To restart the program from this point, you must be able to restore the database and the program directory to the current state.
I am not sure about this point can someone help me please, we have whole offline backup everyday in the night for the dev system, in that case do i need to take the whole installation directory (here instalaltion directory means upgrade directory)
It also said to you must be able to restore the database and the program directory to the current state. -
I am not understanding what exactly do i need to perform at this point. CAn you please guide me.
Thanks
