Hi,

the easiest way to explore the difference would be: Download all the stuff (WAS preview - NWDS, EP, ...), start the NetWeaver Developer Studio and create a WebDynpro application (there is much documentation/tutorials within NWDS).

Having said this, the difference should be obvious. The Developer Studio is an IDE (Eclipse based), with which you can create WebDynpro applications, portal (EP) applications, general J2EE applications... run in WAS 6.40.

WebDynpro is a framework, yes, what's WebDynpro... I have to admit that I am very ambiguous about WebDynpro, so I just offer you three introductional links from where you can start, before I burn my tongue... https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/web dynpro basics.abst - https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/web dynpro introduction and concepts - sap netweaver know-how network webinar.pdf - /people/stefan.klensch/blog/2004/05/17/what-is-web-dynpro-an-attempt-at-an-answer

Hope it helps
