Hi Experts
How to get a selected value from a dropdown? Any code snippet will be really helpfull. In which method I have to write such a code?
Note: This is for webdynpro for ABAP

There are two different types of drop-down lists: DropDownByIndex and DropDownByKey.
The ByIndex variant gets the selection from a context node (lead selection). So to select a certain entry, set the lead selection for this node.
The ByKey variant gets its selection from the context attribute to which the "selectedKey" property is bound. To set the selection, set the value of this context attribute to the key.
All this is normally done in event handler methods.
