Hello,

I am installing Oracle 10.2 for Windows (for ECC 6.0) and have downloaded installation files from the link at SAP Service Marketplace :

Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group - SAP Application Components - SAP ERP - SAP ERP 6.0 - Rapid Installer - Windows Server - Oracle

The files are :

EXE 51031678_1 ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows 1 of 5

RAR 51031678_2 ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows 2 of 5

RAR 51031678_3 ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows 3 of 5

RAR 51031678_4 ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows 4 of 5

RAR 51031678_5 ORACLE RDBMS 10.2 Windows 5 of 5

ZIP 51031687 DVD Oracle 10.2 Rel. 2 Document Lib

ZIP 51033272 ORACLE 10.2 Client

ZIP 51036971_4 ORACLE RDBMS Patch 10.2.0.4 Windows Server on x64 64bit

The processor of the server is XEON 64-bit.

When I extract the files, I do not find the folder NT/x64 to start the installation.

Can I install Oracle using NT/i386 folder and then apply the patch 51036971_4 above? Would this work? Please guide.

Under the folder NT, there are three folders I guess

AMD64

I386

IA64

I guess, we should use IA64 for Intel 64. However, your hardware is not probably Intel Itanium, why not let's try out.

No XEON from intel only but its EM64 also know as X64. This EM64 technologies developed by AMD so its called as AMD64/X64.

Dear Nikunj,

Thanks for the inputs. The three folders mentioned by Anjali in this post match perfectly.

I will go with AMD.

Do provide some documentation link supporting this if possible, so that I can formally document it.

Saurabh.

Xeon = x86 = AMD

Pay attention to the right installation executable, you must use the SAP specific one.
