Create a PDF printer

hello gurus,

how we can create a printer where we send a billing document (for example) and the system create a PDF file.

Our installation is SAP ECC 6.0 SR3, windows, maxdb

HI,

you can use report which is given in below link to generate PDF.

You can aslo send pdf files via email which is most easier to setup by Access method ' M'. If you want to configured like that way you can do it by using below link.

we want to create pdf fiel to directly from spool to download the document from SAP not to send.

hello Vijay,

we implemented part of solution in note 161516 (method 2), we create a pinter in SAP with device type swin and access methos F, in windows we install a program name PrimoPDF and set the printer created by the program by predefined, we ran some test and work fine, the only is the always we must chang the printer to predefined to create the PDF file. We want to know if exist any solution that do the same but without changing the printer PrimoPDf as predefined.

HI,

To print bill in pdf. you have to create printer with device type "pdf1" and access menthod "F".

If the user selects this printer, a PDF document appears in a new window. The user can then print this

PDF document. SAP Note 351230 describes the exact prerequisites and contains

additional information about Web printing.

hello Vinod,

thanks for your answer, I create in SAP a spool device PDF Printer with device type PDF1, Access methos F and host printer __DEFAULT. when we try to print nothing happens ins SAP, in SP01 we can see that the spool is complete but in the default printer of the user (fisically) a sheet is print where said: no PDF print available, you need 128 MB of memory to print PDF files.

Is necessary in windows that steps??

Windows -> Start -> Settings -> Printers -> Generic / Text Only -> Port : Print to File

hello again,

I created the pdf printer in windows (Windows -> Start -> Settings -> Printers -> Generic / Text Only -> Port : Print to File) the SP spool is send to windows (open the saplpd) and in window´s printers I see the error: Error - send to printer and no more happens
