index row for Text edit in web dympro

i have a problem with a text edit in web dympro. I need to read the index of the row selected by the user..

Is it possible to do this? .

I need to fetch the index of the row selected with the cursor in text edit. Than i need to fetch the position of the cursor.

Sorry, but that information isn't available in Web Dynpro. You can only retrieve the entire contents of the string that is boudn to the TextEdit.
