not able to go Inside the CUP 5.3_7.1

Hi Experts,
when trying to request for new acceess in CUP 5.3_7.1in self service menu, it's prompting for the user id and password. when entering the same the screen is showing as processing for a indefinite period. when refreshing the explorer, it's coming back to the previous menu, with showing my user id as logged in at the top of the screen. but again when i am clicking on the new acess link from the cup start page, the page is again showing as processing for infinite period. unable to analyze the issue.
please do help.
