Adobe Lifecylce Designer gives error when importing Word Document

Hi All,

I am trying to import a work document in the ALD.

I get an Error 'Work (version XP or onwards) could not be found on the machine.

I have Office 2007 on my system and ALD Version is 7.1

Does anybody have a solution?

Sanjay,

Its a bug with LiveCycle Designer as it just looks for Office versions older than 2007.

So you may either need to downgrade to Office 2003 or try upgrading to ALD 8.1 if your system landscape permits you, both are tedious and boring tasks.

I am not able to remove the 7.1 from my system, I have the 8.1 but it does not allow me to load it as it thinks I have 7.1 loaded. I have tried to re-move the 7.1 by ADD REMOVE Program, re-installed my SAP GUI , Delete the Designer Directory on Windows - No Luck.

Do you have any suggestions?

When you run SAPALDSetup.exe it will show a + icon next to ALD, you need to click it so that it shows - sign.

This will uninstall ALD from your machine. After that do a search for Adobe and remove the designer folder from Program Files and Application Data folders.
