CIF error

Hi All

This is the CIF error "Material status does not allow a planned independent requirement"

Any suggestions?

You might want to check the MRP1 view if it has a block, like blocked for purchasing or for all activity.If there is any, removing it, should solve the issue.Of course as stated in the previous post, Basic 1 blockage is a possibility.

Dear Pooja,

Can you please check in your R/3 system for the material and plant whether you have specified any value for the field

"X-plant matl status" in the Basic data 1 tab. If yes, check whether the customizing for this value is flagged for the field

"Ind. reqmt msg" with value "B" in the following path:

SPRO > Logistics - General > Material Master >

Settings for Key Fields > Define Material Statuses

Make this value blank and check it again.

You can use the UserExit EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 to filter based on the material status. Please also refer the following notes:

964360 APO PP/DS: Material status II

331664 APO PP/DS: Material status

357955 Transfer material status f.check d. pl. order conv.

Hi Pooja,

Please check on the following:-

1) plant-specific material status in MRP1 view of R/3

2) MRP3 view :- dependent requirement fields whether maintained properly

3) Forecasting views whether maintained correctly.
