Hi,

i have TREX working now but do not understand the following:

i have setup BusObject DRAW. When creating or changing Documents i chose "index immediately" and use "Delta". This does not take any effekt on Fulltextsearch.

After starting Process in TA skpr07 for Doc-class DMS_PCD1 fulltextsearch is successfull.

Can someone tell me why this happens? What is indexing-Function in SES_ADMIN for?

Thanks a lot

Hi,

TA SKPR07:

the fulltext-index is created by content of original-files (WORD, EXCEL, PDF....) sotred in contentserver.

This index can be used in TA CV04N (Field fulltext) or in EasyDMS-Client

SES_ADMIN:

the fulltext is created by content of short- and longtext of DIR and maybe other fields of table DRAW.

This index you can use with F4-help on field DOKNR in TA CV02N or CV03N

There are also 2 different programm for indexing.

Hope this will help you to understand technology

Dear Mr.Wolfgang:

We want to use SES exclusively for indexing, how to convert current TREX handled indexes into SES handled?

Thanks!

HI Jennifer,

why you want to do this?

SES is a new method to use fulltext in F4-Help for SAP-Buiness-Objects like vendors, material equipments and so on.

In this Business-objects you have normaly short and long-text fields.

For each Business-Object you can create one fulltextindex on trex-server.

DRAW is also a business-object and you can also create index for it.

But in DMS I think the fulltextindex of dms-content (SKPR7) is more helpfully than index of short- or longtext fields.

BAPI_DOCUMENT_SEARCH with fulltext use only the dms-content!

I have no idea how to merge these both index.

Regards

Wolfgang
