Dear All,

Our database is oracle 10g and OS is HP-UX 11.31

In my EP system when I am running the commanr R3trans -d it is giving error

"2EETW169 no connect possible: "maybe someone set invalid values for DIR_LIBRARY

('/usr/sap/EPP/SYS/exe/run') or dbms_type ('ORA')"

R3trans finished (0012)."

When I tried to connect database via sqlplus I am able to connect.

Then I checked local administration menu via jcmon it shows evrything is running.

Don't know what is the error I even tried the server restart but still I am not able to open my EP via URL.

Then I run sappfpar check pf=<inst pf name>

It shows 2 errors and 5 warnings but I am not able to trace.

***WARNING: Unexpected parameter: igs/listener/rfc/disable =1

***WARNING: Unexpected parameter: j2ee/dbhost =epepprd

***WARNING: Unexpected parameter: j2ee/dbname =EPP

***WARNING: Unexpected parameter: j2ee/dbtype =ora

***WARNING: Unexpected parameter: jstartup/vm/home =/opt/java1.4

I have not done any kernal upgrade as well.

have checked on Google but couldnt get whta was the exact problem.

Your suggestions will be highly obliged.

Regards,

PG

Hi Pramod,

The error or warning mentioned above does not reveal much about why you are not able to access your EP system.

You said the server starts fine. Try running R3trans -d with <sid>adm user.

You need to check the work directory and dispatcher trace file if there are any errors.

Please let me know if any error in those.

Dear All,

My issue has been resolved as the user was giving the wrong URL.

But I am still in doubt why R3trans -d is giving error.

Anywayz I am closing this thread and may be(depends on approval) I will upgrade the kernal of one of my

test system and the see the R3trans -d result.

However my database is connected(checked via sqlplus)

and Java is running checked via jcmon and users are able to access the URL.

This idea of upgrading the kernel came to me after reading one othe thread in SDN.

Thanks to all however taken out their precious time to help me.

Regards,

PG
