Possible to change profit center after doc posting?

Former Member

Hi,

We are on ECC 5.0. We have set up all of our internal orders to one profit center in the internal order master record. We realized this is incorrect and the internal orders need to be set up to the correct profit center.

However, we have already been entering documents with the internal orders that have the incorrect profit center. How do we correct the documents that were previously posted with the incorrect profit center if we change the master record to the new profit center? Is there a program or anything that can be run to update these documents? Or would that change the integrity of the documents?

We do not use the standard PCA functionality in SAP where PCA documents are created.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

you can change it, but becarreful, the change is only for the future flow.

For each item where you did a post, you have to adjust it.

Otherwise it is to change it by a fixing date. So you will be clean for the cut-off period and future flow.

Be carreful also for the impact into Material Manegement (Stock valuation for exemple if you use transfer price)

Best regards,

Philippe

Hello Linda,

Of course you could change your configuration with new internal order ...

If you don't want, I propose you to create new profit center and transfert your costs or profit from one profit center to another (KB11N or KB61 ...) .

Or may be, if you could create a rule to substitute one profit center to another automaticaly (OKOU).

regards

Valérie
