Is it mandatory step to import product and supplier data in MDM?

HI All,

I have implemented a MDM catalog scenario which I loaded the catalog items and catalog ID directly in import manager, because we do not need extract the contract and price data from both ERP and SRM. Is it a necessary step to import the product data and supplier data into my repository? Or can I upload all the catalog datas from the Excel file and enrich them in Data Manager?

Hi,

It is not mandatory to extract Supplier and Product data. You can directly uplaod them from Excel it doesn't make any difference.

Hi Duan,

it is not necessary to import automatically. You can do that manually through excel/xml import.
