Am asking a basiC question,
how to setup environmental variable dbms_type as ora in AIX Environment, give me the steps and syntax,
and other " must" environmental variables in AIX where we can wrong !

did you try export dbmstype=ora_ ? You may want to edit the .profile file for permanent change. Atleast this works in HP-UX.
