Inspection during stock transfer from one strogae location to another

Hai gurus,

I have one issue at my client side:

1) My client is whisky manufacturer.

2) first the bottles received to main production stores.

3) then the bottles issued to the bottle cleaning section for cleaning

4) In bottle cleaning section the broken bottles/defects bottle is segregated and accepted bottles are cleaned

5) Then the accepted bottle is issued to the shop floor.

6) How to bring this scenario in to QC

7) can i activate inspection type 08 when the bottle is issued from bottle cleaning stores to shop floor stores.

😎 If i am activating 08 inspection type what is the setting to be done.

Hi,

If I understood properly, then there are two Storage Locations: Production Storage Location (Cleaning Section) and SF Storage Locations. Yes, activate Insp. Type: 08, Prepare Inspection Plan and perform RR and UD.

yes you are correct.

1) My first transfer is transfer of bottle from production main stores to bottle cleaning stores with our inspection using MB1B(311)

2) Then after cleaning and seggregation the bottles is issued to shop floor aganinst the process order by MB1A(261)

3) when i am trying to do goods issue through MB1A(261) inspection lot is not created, what is the initial setting to be done

in material master and quality plan.

Hi,

It seems strange that you want Quality check when issuing to SF. Actually, 261 is consumption against Order and only Accepted Material should be consumed! So better to Quality Check while transferring to SF from Cleaning Section.

However, you need to activate Insp. Type: 02 for Goods Issue.

Thanks for your reply.

1) I had tried to activate the material with 02 inspection type in the material master and created quality plan

with 6 as usage and 4 as status and assigned inspection method and MIC, but when i am doing GI using

MB1A , inspection lot is not created.

Pls tell me where i am wrong.

Hi,

For creation of Inspection Lot, check:

1. Insp. Type 02 is Active

2. Material Assignment is done to Inspection Plan

3. SPRO->QM->Quality Inspection->Inspection Lot Creation->Insp. for Goods Movement->Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type: Whether 261 is excluded?

Verify in QA32 properly whether Inspection Lot is created or not?
