Is Institute Training Mandatory for appearing ABAP Certification Exam

Dear Experts,

I have an experience of 1 year in SAP ABAP with 1 end to end implementation project.

Now i want to get certified.

I have read several post about SAP ABAP Certification.

Bit i m not clear whether it is mandatory to attain training from institutes (like siemens, delphi )

I dont want to appear for institutional training.

Can i give exam directly?

Plz reply !!!

Hi Apoorv,

If you are in India,you need to have atleast 2 years of experience in ABAP and be working with your present employer for more than one year to take up direct certification. As you dont have that experience,please wait for another year or attend training institutes like Siemens etc...which cost a bomb shell(atleast for most of them) which is Rs3 Lakhs,which includes certification.

Is not mandatory (at least around here)... If you have the knowledge, preparation and you're ready to take the certification exam you just have to book TACERT.
