defect recording code group

Hi,

I want to add the code group of defect recording please suggest how we do it , is we follow QS41 and QS51transection ?

also when i edit the catlog 2 through qs51 it show me an error

"Selected sets are not defined for this catalog type

Message no. QS204

Procedure

Maintain Table TQ15 so that selected sets are allowed for the catalog type.

"

For adding defect code go to qs41 t_code

Select catalog 9 and enter code group, F8.

Enter short text and status of code group and doublr click on codes.

select new entries and enter new codes. save

When any defect is recorded notification is created in back ground.

go to SPRO>Quality Management>Quality Notifications>Notification Creation>Notification Content-->Define Catalog Profile

-->Define Catalog Profile

here create catalog profile or edit previous catalog profile.

add new code group.save

now new Defects will appear while defect recording.

Hi Yogani,

its already maintaind and when i am doing a result recording and click on defect tab and i want to chang in code goup , Presently in pop up show CLM-01;PM1 and PM2 and i want to change the criteria of of PM1

it is not possible to change code group while recording defects.

Hi Yogini,

in defect recording, when we hit the defect tab in result recording , in code group popup show the damage PM1with two option

1. Damage1

2. Damage2

i want to add in Damage 3

Please suggest is it possible and if yes then how can we add it .

HI,

Follow the procedure what YOGINI has described and just add Code DAMAGE3 in your code group.

go to qs41 enter catalog and code group in which u want to edit codes, F8

Select code group click on new entries add code Damage 3

and save

now record defects, code will appear in defect recording
