Report Authorization

Dear All,

The Characteristic <b>Country</b>is Authorization relavant. There are some reports which is giving Authorization problem for the Users when they are trying to access with UK as a selection through Country variable.

But the same User when executes other reports with the same variable selection as UK, the reports are executing fine.

Would you please share your ideas on it to resolve.

hi SB,

reporting authorization object is set per infoprovider,

the other reports are query from the same infoprovider ?

if different, check if these infoproviders are checked or not in RSSM, choosing reporting authorization object,

and option 'check infocube...', and display.

The Error Messsage is as,

<b>Warning, you do not have authorization to read object ZA_UPI0010’ Auth. Z_UPI0010’</b>

hi SB,

seems you are in the right way, but have no authorization, run SU53 and deliver the info to basis and ask basis to grant the authroization.

steps are just simple, RSSM, choose the reporting object and option 'check infocube' and 'display'.

This is not for me.

I have to check for the other user who is having problem with the access for the particular report

I do not have much knowledge on Authorizations.

hi SB,

yes, normally authorization is handled by security guy, not bw developer. you can ask them to check then.
