hi,

Please help me understand the how the originating doc. (VBELV) field appears in billing documents.

Do we make any settings for it or it is dependent on the code.

For reference field we make settings in copy control but am not able to locate how this field is controlled.

Regards.

Hi Friend,

VBELV is the preceeding document/Reference document which is present in VBFA table.

In billing document,in item details also under item detail tab, under billing data there is afield called as Reference doc..

The value contained in this field is same as the value present in that VELV field for this billing document.

So as per your question,we can take this field(Reference doc.) as the preceeding document field.

Regrads,

Krishna.

Hi

This is the standard SAP functionality.

Settings are under copy control> header>Assignment data/reference data.

Thanks but this field is different from the reference (XBLNR) and assignment (ZUONR) field for which we maintain copy controls.

Could you pls through some light on originating doc (VBELV) field.

Regard.

Hi

VBELV is the document from which you are copying the current docuemnt. For ex. you are creating billing wrt sales order, then sales order number will be VBELV (originating document) for billing document.

VBELV refer to document flow. You can check these entries in VBFA table.

Hi,

The ORIGINATING DOCUMENT willl appear only for the MASTER CONTRACTS.

Please go to the INCLUDE RV60AFZC which shows that if the VBTYP in the Document flow is 0 then only the VBELV field will populate.

This is the include shows for VBELV

select vbeln from vbfa into table lt_vbeln

where vbelv = vbrp-vgbel and vbtyp_n ='O'.

select vbeln fbuda from vbrp into table lt_cmr

FOR ALL ENTRIES IN lt_vbeln

where vbeln = lt_vbeln-vbeln.

Thanks Santosh......

I will chk the Include program and will update if this is resolving the issue.

And I assume from ur answer that we dont have to make config settings for this field.
