tp.exe is running??

Hello All,

Even when we stopped our BI 7.0 server tp.exe is running in the services.TP.EXE stays in the task manager and doesn't terminate correctly..More than 1 tp.exe was running though we have stopped the application server from MMC.

Database we are using is sql server 2005.BI 7.0 & PI 7.1 is sharing the same database but application is running on different server.Why is tp.exe running even though we stopped the application??

This is happening because the TP process is already running. Best option is to kill the tp process manually and then restart the import again for the request. It sometimes happens due to abrupt connection breakup during a import. If you see this tp process hanging frequently then only you should be concerned.

Are you trying to stop the database also.

Did you do kernel upgrade before.
