We have a process where we want to add an extra item on the delivery for a stock transport order. We can use item category ULN or ULNZ for this, which then will post the quantity into stock in transfer with movementtype 603. Stock in transit postings are posted with movementtype 641. SAP treats these stocks differently, as the 603 movement is posted as stock transfer and the 641 is posted as stock in transit. We are looking for some input to this process.
For the stock in transit process we know.
goods issue = 641/642
Goods receipt = 101/102
Scrap of transit stock = 558/557
Overview of stock in transit = MB5T
Does anyone have experience with the stock transfer process?
goods issue = 603/604
Goods receipt =605/606
Scrap of transfer stock = ???
Overiew of stock in transit = ??????

Hi
We use the item category and movementtypes when we want to add products directly on the delivery for the stock transport order. The products are issued to stock in transfer (not stock in transit) which is a slightly different stock type. Our normal stock overview can show what is in transfer from one plant to an other.
Movementtypes 603 and 605 are relevant when you add the product codes directly to the delivery for a STO. But you can also use 303 and 305 as normal transfer postings from unrestricted to transfer stock. In order to scrap something in transfer, you can use 303/305 to bring it to unrestricted use, and then scrap it.
Kind reg.
