The logis of backorder lies in the fact that material was not available in sufficient stock to fulfil the order and hence it is back ordered and the same will be fulfilled in the subsequent order. This implies that it is related to order details like
- Material number
- Sold to Party
- dispatching Plant
- Organization details of customer
- PO number etc
All the above are items in a Sales order. So in order to search an order which is incomplete and backorder came into picture we can only use these items as search criteria.
As delivery priority and shipping conditions are not part of sales document they cannot be used to run backorder processing.
