Hi all
I wander is it a special procedure needed to upgrade 10.2.0.2.to 10.2.0.4. or "New versions of Oracle 10.2 database upgrade guides " is good for that?
I guess, those guides are to upgrade 'to 10.2' not from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4
your case requires only the patchset and other patches, but upgrade from 10.1.x.x or from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 requires a lot more configurations
So, you might require only the notes to go from .2 to .4
confirm yourself !
Edit: In other words, no extra/special procedure is required, those are sufficient. Just keep track of all the interim patches and cpu patches too

The patch comes with a readme - follow that to install 10.2.0.4 - and then, as already suggested by the previous poster, don't forget to install all the interim patches using MOpatch and the CPU patch.
