Quality inspection at Stock Transfer Order

Hi all,

i need one help, dont know whether it is possible or not.

Let me explain the scenario in which it is required.

We are doing Stock Transfer between 2 Plants with in the same company code Using STO Process in which GI is done through 351 mvmt and GI is carried out using 101 Mvmt.

In One Scenario(from Plant A to Plant B) i would like to Created Inspection lot at the time of GR( good Receipt).

Secondly, In other scenario (i.e. From Plant C to Plant D) i dont want to create Inspection lot. but i would like to create inspection lot at the time of trnsfering material from location 1 to location 2 of receiving plant D using Mvmt 311.

Pls note all the plants are there in same company code.

I m working on SAP R3 4.6c.

Hi Sheo,

For the material in Plant B, create Quality Inspection view in Material Master and choose the inspection type 01. This will create inspection lot at the time of GR for Purchase Order.

For the material in Plant D, create Quality Inspection view in Material Master and choose the inspection type 08. This will create inspection lot at the time of moving material from Plant C to Plant D using 311 movement type.

Hi Prem,

It Is not Working, I had Checked this.

If you had set Inspection type 08 for material master then only you will be able to create inspection lot against GR in reference to Stock Transfer Order. As well as Against Stock transfer within the locations.

My Requirement:

1: Transfer of material from plant A to Plant B.

Material should go for Quality check( required

Inspction lot generation)

For Above, Quality inspection is made active on MvmT

type 101 and 08 inspection type is activated on

Receiving Plant B.

2: Transfer of MAterial from Plant C to Plant D, This

should not go for quality check.

For Case 2, If i m not activating inspection type 08

in Material master of Recieing plant D, then task 2

is accomplished. but i am not able to accomplish

Task 3 as it require Inspection type 08 Activation

in material master of receiving plant D.

3: when i m transfering material from one location to

other in Plant D Through 311 Mvmt, it should go in

Quality Check.

I had marked the Inspection lot creation active on MVMT Type 101 and 311.

I had observed that For STO Reciepts and Normal Stock Transfer, System take Inspection Type 08 in Account.

Pls suggest some way out, so that i can accomplish all the above task.

Hi Sheo Anand Singh,

Query 1.

Activate the inspection type 01 (instead of 08)in material master for plant B.That would help u.

Query 2 .

Activate the inspection type 08(not 01)in material masterfor plant D for inspection in stock transfer.
