Want to Install SAP 4.7 / ECC 6.0 Demo

Hi Members ,

I am an ABAPer , no wonder a newbie and want to practice ABAP . For the same reason , i need to install IDES in my laptop . Is there any means by which i can install it in my Laptoip for practice purposes only . If not , then any other software which gives the same functionality as IDES .

IDES is not free software

Despite what is written on the internet somewhere: You need a valid license for any IDES system (means, you have to have a contract with SAP for either being a customer or a partner).

To develop ABAP you don't need a full features IDES system but the basis Netweaver system is sufficient. It contains all the technology that is also available in ERP or CRM. It does not contain business logic (the former called 'modules') - but to train/try ABAP they are not needed.
