MDMP will no longer be (fully) supported from SAP ERP 6.0 onwards! (for details see http://service.sap.com/~sapidb

The tool RSCPINST is used to setup the language system configuration of SAP Systems As of Netweaver04 (SAP_BASIS 6.40; e.g. mySAP ERP Edition 2005) and above, where MDMP is not supported any more (see note 79991).

Standard Unicode system settings should be as followings: Note 42305 - RSCPINST (I18N configuration tool)

u2022 TCP0D: COUNTRY DBLANGU

New installation -> <empty> E

Upgraded from Non-Unicode -> < same entry as before upgrade>

u2022 TCPDB: CPTRANSFLD CPPOOLCLUS

<empty> <empty>

u2022 TCP0I: NAME ACTIVE TIMESTMP VALUE

processed_languages X <yyyymmddhhmmss> <languages>

You have to execute the following reports in your Unicode SAP system: 544623 - New Installation of Unicode SAP systems

u2022 UMG_POOL_TABLE: do not repeat this report in the system!

u2022 RUTTTYPACT: Make sure you run this report before performing any imports into the dictionary. See SAP Note 832577 for details.

1. Log on to your Unicode SAP system.

2. Call transaction SE38.

3. Enter report UMG_POOL_TABLE.

4. Choose Postprocessing (After Import)

5. Choose Execute (F8). Remember that this report may be executed only once in the system!

6. Call transaction SE38 again.

7. Enter report RUTTTYPACT.

8. On the entrance screen, modify the logname if desired.

9. Execute the report in background with variant SAP.

After the installation there are two tasks to be fulfilled before the languages are available for usage:

1. All languages except English and German must be installed in transaction SMLT. Read the online documentation in the transaction for step-by-step description.

2. All languages must be activated in transaction I18N -> I18N Customizing -> I18N System Configuration. If this transaction does not exist in your system. run report RSCPINST directly in transaction SE38. Read the online documentation in the report for step-by-step description.

Note 1319517 - Unicode Collection Note All in one.

Thank you,

Shyam
