Hi,
I am just done reading the PPDS documentation and one thing I noticed was the amount of OSS notes which were stated in the online help documentation especially in the area of order scheduling and the order dates when orders were sent back and forth from PPDS to ECC/R3. Is the PPDS product unstable or have most of the notes been applied via some support pack ?
Thanks
Hi,
SAPO APO PPDS is as per me the best in Class Production Planning tool available in SCM, only thing one must know how to use each of its funtionalities to best match the Business requirements.I am not sure which OSS notes you are talking about, but if you take the latest APO version with the right support pack then there is no need to apply any of those notes.
Please understand these OSS notes are always in reference to your current APO version and the support pack.
If some client is having APO version 5 and a low suport pack level then obviously to use the additional features of PPDS he will have to apply those notes sperately.
Trust this clarifies your doubts.
Thanks,
Harsh

Hi GS,
PPDS Product is not unstable but a very stable product.
You don't need all SAP notes to be applied but depending
upon your requirements and business conditions.
Suitable support packs also will be available to control
many notes which you need to check up with SAP via
OSS message which will help you.
