Hi,

While creating/saving Info-Object, small window pop up whether to save particular Info-Object in BW or APO.What is the significant of this. I have found in some book its suggested that always save in BW and in some books it says always save as APO when working on APO BW.Hence, its confusing me.

Please provide your view on this.

Thanks,

Dipankar

Hi Dipankar,

If you are saving APO info objects as APO then your data is exclisively for apo and you can't transfer your data to info objects created as APO(even if you wish to transfer from flat file then also you can't). But if you are creating your info object as BW info object then you can execute data transfer process and you will be able to upload the data from falt file as well.

Hi Dipankar,

It will be always recommendable to link all your data info-objects routed through BW.

This will avoid back-up of data later and act as reporting media to extract

data wherever required.

This will also used to integrate BW data with other connecting SAP/non-SAP

systems
